The author describes Pallas' cat's exterior and behavior and gives some information on Pallas' cat distribution in the world. He separately sais about Pallas' cat in Kazakhstan. The author notes that there are the threats to this species and it is necessary to take measures to prevent its dissappearing. The main reasons of cats' deaths are shepherd's dogs and poaching. It is clear that Pallas' cat habitats have been reduced. One of the measures to conserve this species in Kazakhstan can be the creation of new nature reserves.

Уже начинает смеркаться, зоопарк закрывается, посетители расходятся, а манул все еще не хочет выходить из своего убежища. И только когда кругом воцаряется полная тишина, в домике манула поднимается какая-то возня, затем появляются два круглых зеленых огонька. Оказывается, два зеленых огонька это два светящихся в темноте глаза. Теперь все ясно. Животное ведет ночной образ жизни и поэтому днем спит в своем убежище, а ночью бодрствует. Вот его и не могут увидеть посетители - ведь зоопарк не работает по ночам!
