August 25 Pallas cat family has been found on Adon-Chelon cluster of Daursky State Nature Biosphere Reserve. Three 3-month age cats has been nooted on the outcrop. They allowed to come near closely before to disappear. During two days the researchers could observe the cat family. They succeeded in seeing occasional scenes of Pallas cat life - how the female feeded her kittens and their games. Possible the outcrop was a temporary Pallas cat den.
Adon-Chelon rocky massif was included into Daursky nature reserve only some years ago to protect not only Pallas cats but also other endangered species including raptors and peculiar steppe landscapes.
Pallas cats are common at this cluster. The hilly relief with with many outcrops and enough pikas to eat allow wild cats to be in comfort here.
